Supporting talented young learners to level up their tech passion since 1999. Take your skills to the next level in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Music Production, Creative Design, Game Development, Digital Storytelling and Entrepreneurship. The same courses presented by Digital Media Academy for over 20 years at the most prestigious universities in North America.

• 10 of $1000 scholarships will be awarded to selected talented students or students who have financial challenges to join the camp. To be eligible, student should submit:

1. Fill up the Application Form;
2. A personal cover letter: in no more than one page, please state what UBC camp are you interested in and provide a reason/s why you think you are a good candidate for the scholarship;
3. Your most recent school report card;
4. Any digital media work or creation or portfolio (optional)

• 2 FULL scholarships for its 2022 in-person summer program held at UBC in July to be granted to Indigenous students worth $CAD2,000/e. The purpose of the scholarship is to provide full course coverage for 2 (two) selected Indigenous students to join the camp.

4. Status card, or photocopy of a community membership card or official letter from a community member sponsor.

Scholarship recipients will be announced on June 20th, 2022

* $1000 and FULL scholarships could only be applied to DMA UBC Summer Camp 2022 courses fees. It excludes any hardware and software required for the specific course. No cash value. Camp course is subject to availability. Scholarship recipients are not guaranteed a spot in a course due to capacity limitations.

The scholarship is administered by Halfmoon Education, DMA Greater Vancouver Exclusive Licensee, and sponsored by Halfmoon Foundation, a BC registered non-profit society, a sister organization to Halfmoon Education. The use of the University of British Columbia’s (UBC) name is strictly for the purpose of identifying the location at which Digital Media Academy programs are delivered. Digital Media Academy have no affiliation with UBC and UBC is not involved in or responsible for the quality, suitability, delivery or other aspects of Digital Media Academy Programs in any way.
