Founded in 1999 on the campus of Stanford University to provide technology education to K12 teachers and develop technology immersion courses for students. In 2002, the Academy for New Media became Digital Media Academy and greatly expanded its technology education programs and operated in the most prestigious universities: Stanford University, Oxford University, NYU, UPenn, U Chicago, U Washington, UCLA, UC San Diego, UBC, U Toronto, and others. Since then, Digital Media Academy has delivered applied technology education to over 500,000+ students in 1,100+ schools in 125+ countries online.

Tech Camps are our flagship learning experiences that we have been developing and delivering for 20+ years. Each course is infused with hands-on, project-based learning, designed to equip students with 21st-century technology skills! Students will engage in real-world problem solving and collaborate with fellow students to create solutions to some of the world’s biggest problems.

Tech Accelerators are the newest evolution of learning experiences that Digital Media Academy has to offer. Each Tech Accelerator Career Track contains an 8-level learning sequence, designed to prepare students for 21st-century careers and higher-education. Tech Accelerators are different from our flagship Tech Camps courses because each course contains more than just the tech skill learning. You will build a professional Future-Key Portfolio (FKP) demonstrating your skill and ability to respond to real clients, preparing you for college, university or employment. These courses are designed to provide deep-skill learning and are, therefore, 2 lessons per week. Registration is easy! Simply select the "Courses" tab at the top of your screen. From the dropdown, choose the career pathway of interest. Then, filter your results using the guide on the left side of your screen. After making your course selection, you'll be able to add the item to your cart and complete registration from there.

Although Digital Media Academy does not yet offer college credits, we will help you add to your educational portfolio by issuing a Certificate of Completion to you upon the fulfilment of each course.

English is the language of instruction at Digital Media Academy. Students who want to join a Digital Media Academy course must have a level of English sufficient to participate and be successful in the learning process.
